There is not a single store in The Boise Idaho area that has any either. Sounds like it is nation wide.

I found a box of 400 Federal's today at a local shop here in Charleston, WV and he's running dry again.

It's in VT too. The last case of 7.62X39 a local shop had sold the day after the election...something I've noticed too is an attitude change, in the customers there, an attitude of "we're not going to put up with it" that I haven't seen before in people, even during the 1990's AWB. A defiant attitude, and through the rumor mill I hear some local dealers are planning to burn any records if there's any suggestion of any confiscations using their records. Who knows where this is going to lead. Most online dealers are out of ammo especially bulk ammo for AR's and AK's/SKS's. Not to mention handgun ammo (some handgun ammo I was going to order is backordered until February 2009, at every supplier...). I'm happy I got most of what I wanted/needed before the election. I've got an FFL and I've come up dry on getting ammo (friends have been asking me if I can get some for them, besides the fact I wanted to add some more to my stockpile)...wholesalers are out of popular calibers, manufacturers and/or importers are behind on orders. I think things will taper off in a month or so, only to start up again after the innauguration, and things will explode when there's news that they're debating any gun laws in congress.

Just sit tight guys, everyone panics and then theres the shortage...They will forget and after a while no worry again....or maybe they want everyone to think there's a shortage to get attention...then can raise the prices

One of the guys was going hunting and was a little disappointed by the fact that the shelves were almost bare. Personally, I think it's a sign of self induced panic more than anything else.
