I stopped wearing hats when I retired from the military, and now only do it when Mother Nature tells me it's time. Having said that, my boys wear ball caps all the time.

I gotta admit, I love vamp movies and 30 Days was fun to watch. None of that PG-13 crap. Some good gore and violence is necessary for such a flick.

Default working in Barrow hospital

Hello ppl. I've been reading these posts after I saw some job openings at the hospital. I would like to here from ICU2RN and any other nurses that work and or live in this hospital.
I am considering applying, may just do that by the end of the day anyway, but I wanted to some inside info as to what it's like.
This is a big commitment as well as change for me. I have a home and family in Florida and currently live on a sailboat in Md.
Anyone?

Where are you Floyd? haven't seen any posts in a few days. I do hope you are okay.

We get one or two cruise ships every year, and one or two sailboats too. Not all of them are "conventional": Here's an interesting boat from two years ago:
The shore ice just blew away last week, and so far no ocean going vessels have come in yet. Usually the Canadian ice cutter is the first boat we see. Last night though, it sounded like the WWII invasion of Attu out on the ocean. Everybody and both their brothers and sisters were out hunting seals amongst all the pieces of ice floating around...

And our week or so of summer seems to have started! The temperature did get down to 35F last night, but each day for the next few is forecast to have a low that about what the high was two days before. Tuesday is supposed to be a scorcher and could hit 70 degrees...
