Woohooo! I thought daughter graduating from Loyola (School of Nursing) was something like Close Encounters of The Third Kind. Get this, on the State licencing exam the day before yesterday she was relieved at question 75 out of 280 or something like that. So either she did really good or really bad
Well, today we know for sure, she's a licenced RN

My fingers and toes are crossed for her that she passed!! Must be the test is computerized now huh??? When I took my state boards years and years and years ago we sat for hours in sweltering heat and had to wait 6 weeks for the results!!!
Hope she passed with flying colors!!!

She passed all right. Yeah, it is computerized. It costs $300 to take the test and you answer these multiple choice questions as the computer gives them to you (different for all) and it decides when it knows for sure if you know the stuff or not. It took Patricia 75 questions to convince the system that she knows her sh . So for like ten bucks they will let you know the tests resoults in 48 hours or, you can wait untill the letter arrives in the mail.
We did not wait for the letter
Now for the first job...
The recession does not help... but as everything went ok so far, maybe this will go well too. ICU position. With such, she can became Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in couple of years, and that means lots more money and nation wide certification.
So we'll see. It is good to have goals, I think. No husband yet, no kids. Good time to try and get ahead. Especially that daddy wants to move to Europe soon.

My apartment is a hotbox. It's nice & cool outside & I'm still sweltering in here. Ugh. Summer, you get a nice big fat kick on the ass from me. Although, I can hear fireworks going off right now, the Big Gig fireworks. Summerfest started today.

Picked up a buddy 2 miles up the road at 4PM, he had nearly an inch of hail in his yard. At 8PM he still had hail in the trees. I got none!

Granny China Sea in the Blazy Mall has a good buffet. The one up the Spur Highway across from the tire shop is OK (to me) but they've got sushi!

Granny the Blazy Mall will be on your right when your coming north through town, on the Sterling Highway.

Right next to the First National Bank, and directly across the street from Wells Fargo Bank. The China Sea is upstairs in the mall.
