Looks like the Nenana Ice Classic tripod may go out earlier this year, we aren't dropping to 20 below at night this year as in years past. Purse is about $350,000.00 this year!

Picked about ten different times this year, came within about thirty minutes a few years back though...

Turned out to be not a bad day at all, had some sun, and it reached 52*.

I spent the day pruning limbs from trees in the backyard & reading a book I bought in Marblehead called, "If You Lived Here I'd Know Your Name." Its about life in Haines.

We have a visitor staying with us from Orlando, working in AK, and experiencing now, we will get his views on AK in the next couple of weeks...I think should prove interesting..right now he has just his 5-year daughter and wife back home...so he is already lonesome...but Florida view, so totally unlike ours...the rest of the story....

I have read about the Nenana Ice Classic before. If I am correct the purse of $350K is about the highest that it has ever been.
