I use the waxless type. And no...you don't need wider unless your in feet of powder. As long as there is a good base thin is fine. And once you've made some tracks you can follow the same ones back.

So todays plan was to head down to the Peninsula, but weather just didn't turn out for us. Later in the day I had just opened a beer, hauled in some wood ready for a relaxing evening. Then the phone rang.

Don't feel bad. I have to study for a test for the next 2 or 3 days. I'll probably miss most of the super bowl and just cram school work. At least your getting paid!
