Thank you so much! I had just stumbled on to that site myself and had come back here to say "nevermind, I figured it out", LOL Thank you for your help! I couldn't find any bookings after September 14 at all But since my house hasn't sold yet, I guess I won't worry too much about that.

I was actually pleasantly surprised at the prices I came up with. I didn't expect FIVE days, but hubby was expecting that so I guess it'll be the closest thing we've had to a family vacation in a while.

Sounds like a plan for you then. Glad it is all working out. About now there is a transition between summer and winter schedule, with obviously fewer sailings in the winter than the summer.

Calling them would be a really good idea as well and as soon as your house sells and you know when you are leaving make a reservation. Better safe than sorry... I bet they only sail once/twice a month until the next tourist season begins.

I have mailed long guns to myself before. This comes off the usps website
b. A shotgun or rifle owned by a non-FFL may be mailed outside the owner’s state of residence by the owner to himself or herself, in care of another person in the state, where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. These mailpieces must:
1. Be addressed to the owner.
2. Include the “in the care of” endorsement immedi*ately preceding the name of the applicable tem*porary custodian.
3. Be opened by the rifle or shotgun owner only.
4. Be mailed using services described in 12.2a.
