Your best bet is to sign up for a transfer to the airport aboard your vessel. They generally are available near the end of your cruise. There are various shore excursions that will take you around Anchorage then bring you to the airport. As far as renting a car is concerned its a lot less expensive to rent a car in downtown Anchorage than it is to rent one at the airport. Do a search for car rentals & Anchorage on Google.
