it would be so awesome to get a tattoo in Alaska,everytime i look at it,it will remind me of my first days in Alaska and of my Alaska experience, only one in Kodiak which is New School Tattoo Co. no website,no reviews, anybody been? i did find one guys myspace from there it looked kind of old and i wasnt too impressed..........

Well I agree with getting an Alaskan tattoo. I have one that takes up a good part of my stomach & chest. But I'd be leery of recommendations about artists & shops without going there personally to see the artists' portfolios & talk to them about the work you want done.

I've only been to the shop on Benson Blvd in Anchorage. James Allen did mine. He's one heck of an artist.

That shops been around since the 70's. Good artists, but really find an artist who's work you like and are 100% confident in. g'luck

no question,im very picky.ive been there done that,my first tattoo was at a kitchen table at my cousins...my second was a cover up after researching and a 4 hour trip, i like evil stuff, i have a zombie face on my forearm,a guy from NC did it freehand(he had an Awesome portfolio, and Zombies were his specialty, i respect real art and Zombie movies kick ass!!

i guess i was hoping maybe to get some names of some that isnt listed,or if there was certain ones to avoid
