Yes, that sort of thing comes when least expected. It is a shame to waste any of the time one has got to live on this Earth. Got to try and enjoy it as best as possible.

I had a warning so to say. There I was fishing at the lake, rods cast out and I was having a beer and pacing the sea wall forth and back. Night was quiet and dark. As I turned around there it was. The Ripper, I kid you not. My reaction was instant, I cursed the damn thing saying there is no way it is my time. And I turned away in the other direction. On the next turn there was nothing there. I was not drunk and not particularly shaken up by this. Was it all in my mind? Was it there? I do not have an answer.
Next day, driving home after lunch I crashed the van on a county road. Just spaced out and went out of a curve, hit a tree. Totalled the van. Got knocked out for a while and cut my lip, that's all. Towing guy could not believe I walked away with no injuries.
So was it a warning the night before? Young couple got killed two weeks earlier just around the curve from where I crashed...
I certainly do not have my life figured out a-z. I often am doubting my priorities or directions, but maybe that is good.
