Do NOT ever order the buffalo wings or whatever they are called here. The guys at the table next to me got them and they are quite vile.

It was "boneless buffalo chicken". The poor guys couldn't eat it and I could smell it from my table; not good.

Yea, I try to avoid Chili's at all costs.

On that subject, I've been on a quest for years to find "authentic" buffalo wings to rival those I had when stationed on the east coast. After 2 decades of searching I've yet to find anything on the west coast that comes close. I've finally given up and now make my own. But you are correct, the ones from Chili's are particularly atrocious.

Why are they so bad? How hard is that to screw up? I'm not eating anything; there doesn't seem to be anything on the menu that's appealing at all.

The first tip that they are not "authentic" is that "real" buffalo wings are not breaded like fried chicken. The chicken is fried plain then coated with sauce. Breading the chicken cause it to soak up too much sauce and get mooshy (not moosey).

LOL would worry if they began to get moosey.
If you are ever back east hit up a Cluck-U chicken for their wings...good stuff.

The chain is based out of Maryland so the have a number of stores there.
Now I'm kinda wimpy so I do the mild wings.
I have friends that love the thermo nuclear wings but they won't touch the 911 ones-too hot.

Used to love to call information for their number and have them wig out when I gave the name.

Hmmm…looks good…I’ll have to give them a try someday. I notice their sauce is available for mail order to. Definitely need to try that! I get my favorite sauce shipped from back east currently anyway. I'm always on the lookout for good buffalo wing sauce!

Are any of their locations near a Metro Station?
