Well, I grew up in Chicago myself (the city, not the suburbs until later) and I miss great hot dogs, REAL Chicago pizza, and went to college at UICC across Racine from Little Italy down by Taylor Street. I also know Italian beef sandwiches, Italian ices, Greektown, Chinatown (off the Dan Ryan) and real deli. But Alaska makes up for most of it.

I just wish there was a nasty White Castle around for my monthly crave.

And I'm retired military, so yes, Moose, I have base access. Heh heh.

I always hated White Castle. Going into the city I enjoyed hanging out in Little Village. But mostly, like most suburbanites, I went downtown or just to the United Center, Soldier Field, Wrigleyville, etc.

Awesome. Sounds like we'll need to schedule a CD eating party on base one of these days!

I had a craving for Uno's the other day...as a young girl we used to go down to the original one, the one with all the names carved in the walls...though I know people prefer other pizza joints, I have fond memories of that one.

Oooo haven't haven't had and in-n-out burger in years, but get White Castle all the time. It's the middle of the night, eternal wait at the drive-thru for a sack of burgers and fries. Yeah they are weird but strangely tasty when you get the crave.
If want to go in and sit for a burger it's Fuddruckers.
