Thought I would start a new thread just for and about the weather here in Alaska. We seem to post temps, warnings and all sorts of weather stuff, just thought it might be nice to have it in one location...maybe.

I'll start with my home station, it's a live image and is updated every 15 minutes.

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory...which is in effect until 11 am akst Wednesday.
Winds of 15 to 30 mph will combine with temperatures of 5 below to
15 below tonight through Tuesday morning to produce wind chills as
cold as 45 below. Similar conditions are expected Tuesday night and
Wednesday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
