Yeah; they don't call the ancestor the salmon nazi of SE Alaska for nothing.

The competition appreciated whatever business they got last season right into their own bankruptcies. Quality counts more than anything with our type of seasonal visitor.

You're making assumptions here that aren't applicable to what I'm discussing.

We aren't rude people but neither do we suffer fools and mistreating the crew is reason enough for someone's name to grace the banned list that is posted above the CC machine.

Fortunately, we know our clientele base quite well and to their credit there are very few fools among them.

True about the success rate of eating establishments; I wouldn't advise anyone in this economy to try it if they didn't already have the land and the facilities.

Thanks for your advice but I have a feeling we've been doing a few things right for the past 23 or so years that we've been there.

My original post was speaking to your level of contempt for your potential customers. "What would most idjits like to see". That speaks volumes.

The people on this forum who actually know me are well aware that the usage of that particular term is one I utilize as a form of endearment.

I think that you're just jealous of anyone who can make it in business or maybe even find a job.

Tough times these days; I guess Social Darwinism is starting to play a significant role in our society.

this type of misunderstanding is common place here on the forum....it takes a long time to get to know someones particular vernacular idioms! oh and by the way....the interpretations speaks volumes of the attitudes of the persons who takes them in a particular way!!

Let's just consider your comments on this thread:

It's clear your use of the term "idjits" (which you're obviously well versed in) is not as a term of endearment but rather an insult to those who you feel don't measure up to your standards. You sound like an absolutely miserable person.

In the words of Don Henley:

"If you keep carryin' that anger, it'll eat you up inside, baby".
Uh oh. I take it we won't be able to count on your business? I'd better get the Chapter 11 papers ready.
