What jacket would you recommend to be the best balance of mobility & warmth?

I always liked down...but usually buy whatever is on sale and has enough durability to handle brush, armwrestling a machine out of a hole, lot's of pockets, and most important to me...a good zipper.
Brand names mean nothing to me. I usually buy big so I can layer underneath.

I came across these FXR jackets on Sportsman's Guide & I can't figure out how they can keep you warm.

I dont like big bulky jackets because when I have to do alot of moving around I get very warm.

It also depends on the type of riding you will be doing. Just about any warm jacket will work for trail riding. However if you are going off trail wear something light weight but warm.

I havent heard anything about FXR, but it cant be that bad.

A lot of my friends here use Klim gear.

Klim Snowmobile Clothing - First Place Parts

You also see a lot of riders in Southcentral wearing Slednecks clothing, too.

Barkley, take a drive up to Wheeling WV, they have a Cabela's store there. They have great items for outerwear there.

They'll be having a NRA Shooting Sports Extravaganza there the 5th-7th.

Klim is amazing! I wear their snowpants, and I love them.
