Some confuse education with intelligence. If you do not know the difference, you are neither.

Telecommunications technician. Jobs go unfilled as guys retire, can't find techs. If you know microwave radio, satcom, telecom, have or can get an FCC license, Secret Clearance, and can stand making $100K to $150K a year. Air Force/Navy electronics background is good.

Go into healthcare! Become a RN and you can work anywhere in AK but so do pharmacists, x-ray techs, etc. Not only can find work, lots of hospitals will pay back your student loans.

I don't care on making the big checks If I make around 40K/year ill be set since if you combine my parents salary then ill still be making more than them.

From checking boilermaker pay I found that all jobs through a union are 42.50/hour or higher. The pay scale for people going from the USA to Canada is around 53/hour. So I think thats good for fatty checks.
