Well Floyd, I don't live in the land of the fairies. Which conservative Democrat should I have voted for?

You define the land of fairies.

Try voting for someone with at least half a brain! Vote for people who have solutions to problems rather than trite old ideology.

Did you vote for some of these leaders of you little town? Well, they did have solutions to problems rather than old ideology

If you did, don't feel too bad about yourself. As I said before, politicians from all sides are mostly crooked. This happens in your town, all over Alaska, and so throughout the rest of the US, although we find out they are crooked when we read it on the news. Most times they just get away with it and we never know.

I guess you don't realize that all of the people mentioned are Republicans, even though that is not stated in the article. And no I have never voted for any of them. (I was living in Salcha in the 1980-1988 period discussed in that article.)

This hole you are digging to show ignorance is getting awful deep Ray.

I believe you Floyd, you din't vote for then because you didn't live there at the time (I am aware of it now). But I am certain that most people had to vote of these, otherwise they would not have been elected. The same for Stevens, Frank, Lisa, and now "Begich..Baggage" (whatever his name is) as a majority of Alaskans voted for them.

Again, only one who lives in an illusion would believe that only Republicans are crooked, for all politicians are.

Only people who live in an illusion actually believe that all politicians are corrupt.

And only people who live in an illusion vote for conservatives in the expectation that ideology is ever going to solve political problems.

We've already noted that you pretty much define the "land of fairies".

We've (no idea of who "we" is) already noted that you pretty much define the land of "fairies" (a fantasy).

Dischner and Mathisen weren't politicians so no one could have voted for them. They were lobbyists who bribed Democrats from Barrow. Eugene Brower, Mayor and Irving Igtanloc, Public Works director.
Democrats are easy to bribe cause they generally lack character. The North Slope Borough corruption trial was by far the biggest in the State of Alaska. Makes what went on with Ted and the Republicans look like peanuts.
