Everyone ,
My my daughter and I are considering moving into the city of albany . My daughter is 15 . She is very considered that the city of albany will be too slow paced , and boring considering we are currently living about 10 minutes from NYC . Any recomindation on which area of albany is the most fast paced , busy , has the most shopping , young people , and is considered one of the " funnier " areas in the city ?
Center Square is probably the only thing that would come close to what you want, the area around Lark St. I agree that she may have some trouble with the pace here. You may want to come for a visit first, try to stay as long as possible. Make sure you go downtown on a weekend day, which is the real test of how vibrant the business district is. (You'll probably be concerned with what you see.)
