Ok, as the title says I may be relocating to the Albany area and am looking to get information. I have and will continue to read the forums, they are very valuable.

Here are some of the facts-

- We are a family of 5 with twin 4 year old boys and a 9 month old baby girl so being in a neighborhood with other kids is important as well as good schools.

- We have always bought New Construction, we are not 100% set against a resale, but nothing over 5 years old or so. Any New Neighborhoods you are aware of in this price range would be greatly appreciated.

- We like the newer neighborhoods that are built with a bunch of courts, they are much safer for the kids. One with community activities is even better.

- We do not need to be in Albany, actually we are looking North. So far Saratoga, Ballston Lake, Clifton Park, and around that area looks like it is what we are looking for. I will be going to the Airport a few times a month because I would be covering all of upstate NY.

I know I will think of more, but for now that is what I have, thank you in advance.

You should consider places like Niskayuna, Latham and Loudonville too. Maybe even Colonie and Guilderland as well. All are pretty affluent, safe, have very good schools and shopping nearby. This should give you an idea of what's in that price range for those communities: RealtyUSA | New York Real Estate |

Thank you for the response, I may take a ride out that way this weekend, it is only a few hours from where we live in Mass.
