Hello everyone, I'll be making a trip out to Rochester in October and picking a friend up in Albany along the way. Right now, I'm looking at taking 87 down but then what would be the best way to make it over to the station? Looking at the map now, it doesn't look like there is an easy way to connect to 787 from 87. Also, on exit 1W/1E it looks like you have to connect onto 90 and even perhaps pay the toll before continuing on 87.
The other way I was thinking is taking exit 7 off of 87 and getting onto 787 that way going south, but then how on earth would I get over to the station? I'm used to dirt roads and no traffic, Albany looks quite difficult to navigate through!
Do you have a GPS or can borrow one? Route 7 connects 787 and 87. It's a piece of cake. not sure what map you're looking at. Route 7 has been there for decades.
Where are you coming from in Vermont? Depending on where you'd be coming from there are better ways to travel.
Yes, I-90 going towards Rochester has tolls. There's no way around that.
