I have been to Saratoga, it is beautiful up there but I think it may be out of our budget and perhaps to far of a commute.

j12308 thanks again!!

I think there are still some relatively affordable areas of Saratoga Springs and it's not that far from the job site. Ballston Spa might work too.

You might want to check out places just over the bridge. It's annoying, but if its close to home, it won't be too bad. Clifton Park, Rexford, Ballston, Burnt Hills. These are more suburban-type places, and you could probably do a 20-minute commute to KAPL.

I know this is a contentious issue, but I spent a year in Schenectady and left for Saratoga the day my lease was up. Schenectady may look nice on a sunny afternoon, but it has a serious dark side with a lot of drugs and violence, and the undesirable neighborhoods are just blocks away from the beautiful historic neighborhoods.

What you said about Schenectady can be said about any city and it does take much separation to make a big difference. This is especially the case in compact or more dense cities.
