We are looking to relocate to an Albany suburb just not sure which one yet. We are a young family of 4 that would like to find a 3 bedroom house to rent for under $1300 preferably in a quiet kid friendly area with good schools and local shopping. Can anyone recommend some areas? Also, place to find them? We have checked Craigslist and hot pads but cannot find much for rent. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Maybe this could help: Albany, NY Apartments & Housing For Rent on Mapskrieg Apartment Maps

BTW-You could probably buy a house in the area, if you are willing to pay that much in rent.

We would like to wait a year or so to purchase a home so we can feel out the neighborhoods, etc. We would preferably pay less then the $1300 it just seems from what we have seen online those prices are hard to come by? Looks like most single family homes go for upwards of $1300 . I will be working out of Colonie and would not mind living 30-35 mins away if needed for better priced homes. Can you recommend any areas specifically? Thanks again!
