I'm an American currently living in Japan with my wife and two children, but will be moving to the Albany area in the near future. Ideally, I'd like to find a furnished home/apartment that I could rent for a short while before buying a house after my wife and I have a better feel for the area. (3-6 months?)

I've been able to find good information about apartments online, but haven't been nearly as much success with furnished apartments, nor do I have any experience with renting in the US.

I'm ideally looking at areas like Clifton Park or Saratoga Springs, can anyone point me in the right direction, and let me know what my options are? One of my children is still a baby, so a two bedroom apartment would likely work.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Also, communities like Niskayuna, Burnt Hills, Ballston Lake, Guilderland, Colonie(any community in that town, I.e. Latham, Loudonville, Colonie(village), Roessleville, etc.), Delmar/town of Bethlehem and East Greenbush, along with some others, would be fine for your family.

First, thanks for your earlier post, it was helpful.

As for location, the place I'll be working is in Clifton Park, and in my limited time there, I felt it was a great location for my family. Something in a pedestrian oriented part of Saratoga Springs would be my second choice, but minimizing my commute and getting to know Clifton Park better (I think that's where we'd like to buy a house) would be our ideal choice.
