We're considering a move to Saratoga Springs and I have a few questions. Does anyone know what grocery stores are in the area? Anything equivalent to something like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's?

Also, we're looking for affordable, safe, kid-friendly areas with good schools. Any particular within or outside of Saratoga Springs that we should look into, or ones that we should avoid?

nope....no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Up here, our supermarkets are rather basic and not exotic in any way. There is a Price Chopper right in Saratoga Springs, about 1 mile past SPAC, just as you hit downtown, on the left.

Food store in area is Hannaford's/Price Chopper/Super Walmart. Wilton Mall has usual stores (Penney's/Sears/Bon-Ton). New Kohls is due to open shortly;Target, Michael's, all in the same area. Schuylerville has good schools.
