I'm going up to the Lake George/Saratoga region during the first weekend in February. I know they have a winter carnival in Lake George during all the weekends in Feb. I was just wondering with all the relatively warm winter weather if the lake has had a chance to freeze over yet. Has there ever been a winter when the lake didn't freeze over?

Not frozen yet. As you know, it has been exceptionally warm so far this winter. It is supposed to be cold for the next few days, so there is still hope for Feb. I do remember one year a few years ago when the lake wasn't frozen (it might have froze later that winter), and they still held most of the Winter Carnival - the activities were just adapted to the warm weather, and it was still a lot of fun.

Yep. We were up there this past Saturday. A lot of fun. The organizers did a great job pulling this off without snow and a frozen lake.
