I'm a young women college graduate that is moving to Albany in the summer for a job. I would like to know of apartments that are in a safe area but are still a younger crowd. I don't want to be living in a complex with a majority of families and older residents but i also don't want to be scared for my life. I will be working at nights sometimes so that is another safety concern I have. My job is in downtown Albany, but I am willing to commute. Thanks!

Live in Center Square, it's a region of downtown Albany that has young, hip, single professionals. I'm a 24 year old professional and live there myself. It's downtown but it's pretty safe.

Lots of young people like The Alexander at Patroon Creek. This complex is pricier than many, but it is new and has lots of common space. The location isn't my cup of tea - it's located in an office park - but it is very safe and near highways and a city bus line.

Stonehenge Gardens has more of a mix of residents, and it is in a family neighborhood, so it may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it is in a very safe, upscale part of Albany. It is an older, leafy, tree-lined area. It is a few blocks from a bus line. It is less than a mile from the "student ghetto" of restaurants, bars, etc., but definitely not a part of that neighborhood, so you don't need to worry about noise.

Stonehenge Gardens is managed by Tri-City rentals. I have generally found them to be good managers, so any of their properties are probably fine.
