We will be coming from Boston and want to spend a few days, a week, in september in the area, exploring the historical sites, easy hikes, taking in any art, theater, festivals that may be happening. We think we would like to split our stays between the 2 sides of the river.
Please suggest towns and places to stay in that are pleasant, not too expensive (100 to 150 a night) in town.
If you have suggestions for things to do and places to visit we appreciate it. Do they have tours of West Point for the public?
