My roommate was evicted for nonpayment, and was supposed to be out of the apartment May1st. At some time the end of April she found out that she'd be spending a couple of months in jail (yes i know, i pick winner roommies!) but shed be going in May 10th. My landlord agreed to let her stay for the additional 10 days.
When it came time for her to leave, she left behind A LOT of stuff. Her family member has contacted me asking to pick up just a few things. I want her to take everything due to the amount of trash left behind.

Since its been 5 days now, is the stuff considered abandoned? I read online somewhere that if that is the case then my landlord can hold the items as collateral. What do i do? or do I do nothing and just let her talk to my landlord?

Or is she entitled to those few things because she is saying that they are hers?

State law requires you to give her a 30 day written notice demanding that she remove her property. If she fails to remove her belongings once the 30 days are up, you can then dispose of them.

So she gets an eviction notice saying she must vacate in 30 days, and then she gets another 30 days to get her stuff out?

Who evicted her? You or the landlord?

If she had her own room, and the landlord collects the rent individually from each of you, stuff her belongings in her room and be done with it. not your monkey's, not your zoo.

If you evicted her you need to give her the additional 30 days written notice.
