My family and I have decided to move to the Bethlehem area. On the one hand, I'm interested in Glenmont because I can afford a newer home there. On the other hand, I'm worried about giving up the convenience and charm of living in Delmar or Slingerlands. Is there a very noticeable difference to the experience of living north vs. south of Delmar Bypass (Route 32) ?
In everyday life, will I mind the extra five minutes of driving to Albany if I chose Glenmont? My family is Jewish so I anticipate having to drive to the Southwestern part of the city for religious school and access to JCC events.

Thanks in advance for you input,

There is no big difference and the areas are very much intertwined with each other. I lived in Slingerlands for many years... All three areas have a significant Jewish population.
