Anyone have any ideas on how to find a good kitchen remodeler in this area? We need a re-do, nothing fancy, maybe about 10-12K, no major changes, just new floor, cabinets, counter-top. The main quality we're looking for is trustworthiness as there are times no one will be home and we will have to lend him a key. We're fairly new and really don't know anyone. I think Lowe's and Home Depot are out simply because they have so many employees doing this it would be very difficult to know who is here and who isn't and who can we trust, seems like we will have no control over who does the job. Plus we had them do a small job in our last house (not around here) and they left quite a mess. We've asked a couple of people for recommendations, someone mentioned Kitchen and Bath (?) on Central Avenue. But I think we'll have the same problem as with HD and Lowe's in that we won't have control over who is in the house.

I've heard good things about Bellamy Construction. They're located off of route 5 in between Amsterdam and Scotia.
