Many cities and towns in this region are made up of very walkable or at least somewhat walkable neighborhoods. Pretty much all of the city of Albany counts in this regard. Many areas of Troy and Saratoga as well. Schenectady to a certain extent, too. Even the smaller cities of Johnstown, Gloversville, and Amsterdam.

My question is if you live in a walkable section of your city, do you take advantage of this? What I mean by "take advantage of" is do you do things like:

- Walk/bike to work
- Walk/bike to the grocery store
- Walk/bike to libraries, movie theaters, bars, restaurants...basically any non-essential entertainment centers

Yeah Lark Street would be a good area for them to start. I always hate driving down Lark Street because the exposed historic brick is really not level and can make for a pretty bumpy ride. Never really had a problem with those sidewalks but good to see they're looking to invest in improving them.

Would be really nice to see more defined bike lanes added to that Center Square neighborhood too. Traffic is usually pretty chaotic and the aggressive taxis don't help make you feel safe either.
