Off of the top of my head I can think of College of St. Rose and Siena College. Both would be very good academic choices, but as Colbean said, it depends on your major.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or as the locals call it, RPI, is a great school for engineering. SUNY-Albany is another good school to think about. Can't forget Union College in Schenectady too. Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs might also be an option. Here are the sites for these institutions:RPI-http://www.rpi.edu/

SUNY-Albany-http://www.albany.edu/

Union College-http://www.union.edu/

Skidmore College-http://cms.skidmore.edu/index.cfm

and here are the sites for the other colleges already named: Siena-http://www.siena.edu/

College of St. Rose-http://www.strose.edu/

and if you are a female you can try Russell Sage in Troy-http://www.sage.edu/rsc/

Hope this helps

Union College:Union College, Schenectady, NY

Skidmore College:Skidmore College: Creative liberal arts education in Saratoga Springs, New York

and here the websites of colleges already mentioned: College of St. Rose:The College of Saint Rose

I think you just listed all the colleges in the area, and really they are all very good places.

It really depends on what your major is, and how much money you're willing to spend. Siena is a GREAT college but extremely expensive; SUNY Albany is also a great school but not as costly as a private school.

Thank you everyone for your information.
I am deciding between MBA and MPA. Trying to figure out which one will give me more advantages in the future. It looks like SUNY is a good choice. If anyone got more advices or suggestions, I will really appreciate it.
Thanks again.
