Hello everyone!
Having moved to the area just about a year ago, I am struggling to find a really GOOD dentist for restorative/ cosmetic work.
I was just about to begin treatment prior to moving here, and now I find myself in the position of needing to "start all over".
At the suggestion of neighbors, I have seen 2 dentists thus far, but have not felt comfortable with either of them; one insisted I pay up front for the ENTIRE proposed cost ($5500.00) of treatment, and the other did not seem very knowledgeable about new techniques and materials.
I need a new bridge, some crown work, old fillings replaced, maybe veneers, whitening, etc.
I dont mind driving a distance, I even thought I may need to go into NYC, but I don't know anyone there, either...
I am in the same situation with needing a top-notch vascular surgeon for leg vein surgery...I was scheduled for surgery 2 months prior to moving but was "bumped" from the surgery schedule and then it became too close to moving time to do the surgery at all. I am going to post the doctor thing separately, but if you are reading THIS post and can recommend a vascular surgeon, please feel free....
I drive an hour to get to the office, I believe she is worth the drive. Her bedside (chairside) manner is fantastic. I've never been to a more comforting dentist. Her staff is very professional and friendly. I have had extensive work done within the last year and I am very pleased. The cosmetic work that I have seen is very good. Her pricing is very reasonable, and she accepts a wide range of insurance. Couldn't hurt to see her for a consultation.
It may be too late since thread is so old...I recommend Dr. David Crall in Pittsfield, MA. Only about an hour away.
