I need a rental car that I can drive from Albany to Boston late Thanksgiving Day, one from a company that would allow me to drop it off in Boston.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks.

Try AVIS at the airport. We have done one ways several times.

Make reservations now. I was in an accident in September and went to the airport for a rental. No luck. Everyone was booked.

Yes, just checked with Avis and they have no cars at the airport or at a Sears location.

The Enterprise people are not interested.
I did find that National would give me a car for $176 so I'm going to plan B, once I figure out what it is.

the rate with Hertz is about $95 plus taxes and fees (which is around 15%) from Albany Airport to Logan. if you have AAA, that'll usually get you a 10% discount.

Or maybe if you have AAA, just call them and see what they can do.
