Hello all,

I'm looking for some help here! My wife and I currently live in Downtown NYC on Wall St and we have lived in NYC for 8 yrs. We have been married just over a year and we are looking to relocate to Saratoga Springs. I am orginally from CT and she is originally from Delmar, so Saratoga Springs we feel would be a good fit for us to settle down and begin to start a family. The hurdle that we are trying to overcome is what carreer opportunities exist in and around the Albany / Saratoga region? I'm currently at a Investment Bank overseeing investments in Private Equity & Hedge Funds. I have a wide range of experience ranging from Product Control to Research Analyst to Trading to Market Risk. I am wondering if there are any similar opportunities in and around Albany / Saratoga? How is the current Job envoirnment up there? Also, we are looking to move in Oct / Nov 2010, so how far in advance should I begin to start agressively looking up there? We have never relocated like this before, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You might start to contact some employment agencies or actively see what is available considering the current economy. Housing in Saratoga, like elsewhere, is very reasonable now. Saratoga area is a wonderful place to live, not only friendly people, but it has everything one could desire.
