I'm thinking about taking a trip out to the Glens Falls/Lake George area on an upcoming weekend. I wasn't planning on skiing if that's an option there, so I was wondering what else is around for entertainment. Truthfully, I really need some time to wind down a bit, but would like to know a few of my options for bars, nightlife, reasonable lodging, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.

I would suggest going around the time of the Winter Carnival: Home - Lake George Winter Carnival There will be more things to do in the area around that time. The outlets in Lake George will be open. But keep in mind a lot of restaurants and motels in the village close out of season (i.e., the winter). Bars in Glens Falls will be open, though. I suggest Davidson Brothers- it's a very good brewery. Davidson Brothers Also, Aimee's Dinner and Movie is nice for catching a dinner/flick. Aimie's Dinner and Movie Have fun!

You might want to visit Saratoga Springs, which isn't that far from Lake George. Lovely walkable down town, restaurants, shops etc.

What about Ballston Spa, which isn't too far away either?

If you're going to go to Glens Falls, stay at The Great Escape Lodge. It's really nice.

If you don't want to ski, there's also tubing. I don't know if West mountain still has a tube park or not though.
