What is the best area to take a 6 yr old and a 7 yr old for trick or treating in Albuquerque?

In your own neighborhood, not mine. If there aren't a lot of houses where you live, take them to an organized event.

I'm not spending $$ to treat kids who don't live in our development. Every year, vans full of those from other neighborhoods park and solicit from us.

Bah humbug, or the Halloween equivalent.

Your neighborhood. Not really cool when people drive across town to trick or treat in other people's neighborhoods in my opinion.

Hmmm...

Everyone is welcome at our house as long as you behave and maintain a
good spirit...

We really don't care what neighborhood you are from. We don't care who
that is underneath that costume...

But there are a lot of activities throughout the communities which you might consider.

There are some good haunted houses every year. Here are two pages of things to do:

I agree Poncho....kids are kids, they jsut want to have fun and get candy! Some neighborhoods(mine included) have quit handing out the candy, so when we go, we are back in 40 minutes, bags half full. I dont care who comes by to t-or-treat us, as long as they arent growing beards and working full time jobs!

It's not the kids that pile their entire neighborhood into huge cars to go to the "rich" neighborhoods to get better candy. It's the adults. I've heard friends of friends discussing which neighborhoods/developments give out premium candy.

We always buy candy for trick or treaters. We make sure to buy candy that we ourselves like, which is not difficult. Some years there are more visitors than others. Almost without exception they arrive by vehicle. I will turn on the entryway lights about at 6 and they are off by 8:30. My neighborhood is east of Tramway and very few children or teens live within the area. The younger ones can be cute.

Rich, your pics are cute as well. I would not be afraid to answer the door in your area but will still maintain my cut-off time! I think anyone with a dog would get bonus points from me....
