Compared to where? It has low humidity. Go to Phoenix in the summer and El Paso will feel awesome when you get back. Drive to east Texas in the summer spend a few days there then go back to El Paso, you'll be delighted with El Paso Weather.

Albuquerque cools downs more at night than El Paso.

El Paso's summer's aren't that bad, the humidity is low. If you get hot just take a drive up to cloudcroft in NM. Compared to south texas, central texas and east texas el paso's summers aren't bad.

El Paso gets more than a few days in the summer that the low temp is in the 60's. That doesn't happen very often in the other parts of texas.

No. El Paso is a lot hotter, and it's hotter for longer periods. Just go to this site, plug in your cities or zip codes at the top, hit "go", and once you get today's weather scroll down to "seasonal averages" to get an accurate idea of weather.

Thanks. El Paso is sunny, but what is the point of city if the heat is torturing you? Yes i think its better than the rest of Texas. But its still hot! I wanna be able to be outside for long periods of time without the sun wearing me out

While Albuquerque may have lower average summer temperatures, the sun can actually feel more intense because it is at a higher altitude than El Paso.

I live in the Denver metro now, used to live in Las Cruces which has very similar weather to El Paso.
The average summer temp here is just a few degrees lower than in ABQ, but, again, because we are at a higher altitude, being out in direct sun even when it is only in the 70s can feel pretty warm.

The trick to enjoying the sun in any of these cities is to get up and out early in the day.

Hmmm...
I guess it wasn't clear that I was actually comparing Denver's altitude to El Paso's.
I thought the "again" in the sentence you quoted made it clear, but oh, well.

I know that Denver's altitude is actually lower than that of ABQ. However, I actually live in Aurora, which has a posted (average) altitude of 5,471 feet. At its highest point, Aurora sits at 6,229 feet.

That being said, my main point was that the altitude of ABQ is higher than that of El Paso and that the sun in cities at higher altitudes can feel more intense despite lower overall temperatures.
I thought that might be something for the OP to consider.

Just my $.02.
