Writer looking for Writer's Group (Jemez Springs: theatre, live, moving to) - Albuquerque - New Mexico (NM) - City-Data Forum

I will be moving to NM in March '08 and would like to join a writer's group. I personally write screenplays, but any writer's group is good. Does anyone know of any such group?

Southwest Writers Association
New Mexico Book Coop
are very lively active groups. You can find them ala Google.

UNM has had a great playwriting program in the past, not sure if they still do but getting involved in summer theatre there you will meet lots of like-minded writers.

New Mexico is teeming with writers! Enjoy! I moved there in 1979 and lived in Albuq til 1995 (then moved up to Jemez Springs where I still am part of the time) and it has been the most wonderful writerly experience!
