In October, Voters in Albuquerque will be asked to vote on the 1/4 cent tax extension to fund road improvements and the ABQ-Ride transit system
The tax is currently in place, this would be to vote for or against extending the tax.

I would like to seek opinions regarding this tax, what exactly it would be used for, and how this would help to improve Albuquerque.

Does anyone have a link to a page that breaks this issue down? What are the funds supposed to be used for, etc.? I tried several of the "quartercent" links on the cabq.gov site, but they all seem to require username/password.

BTW, and this info could be outdated, but it was my understanding that the city was actually sitting on $26-$30 million of unspent funds raised from this tax (as of March '09).

Chap

Most of those funds were used to purchase the new 900 series buses and I believe about 6 additional Articulated buses.

If there was actual improvement seen I would vote yes. But, I've seen nothing yet that would warrant it. NO
