I am the wife of an amazing man who has done absolutely everything he can to change his life for the better. Yes, he is a convicted felon with violent charges from 2015 and is currently on parole in another state. His felonies are NOT drug related, child abuse or sexual assault crimes. His transfer was denied to NM because the apartment I currently reside in does not allow felons. My husband made mistakes in the past and he regrets them every single day and he proves every day that he is no longer that person. He has maintained a steady job for over a year & his bosses (the owners of the company) are willing to give him glowing recommendations because he has done such a great job. He has complied with every requirement made by the parole office. I have called the Transitional Services at the Probation & Parole Office for help. I have contacted numerous apartments, private home rentals, & even trailer parks. I have even gone to the extent of contacting a real estate agent. As of yet, I have had no luck. If anyone knows of specific places or people that I could contact for assistance please let me know. I'm willing to do the work, I'm just asking for help. Thank you for any info you can provide.

Thank you so much for the info & your response, I appreciate it more than you know. I have contacted a few of these places & got a response, like T&C Property, Three Sons Property & Valencia Court. However, this list is very outdated & some of these places are either closed or no longer work with felons. I'm just hoping & praying to find someone willing to give my husband a second chance to prove he took his mistake, learned from it & came out the other side a better man.

During the twenty years I worked in prisons and probation/parole there was an interstate compact where states could "swap" parolees, usually one for one, if the situation and home plan was warranted. So, it was (then) a two-step process of establishing a viable home/work plan and negotiating the compact. It may have changed since I was familiar with it. I see that NM is still a party to the compact based on the following webpage link.

https://interstatecompact.org/west/new-mexico

The receiving state has to agree to take on supervision. The victim's rights and safety are part of the process.
