Am thinking of moving to ABQ. Would like to know what residents love the city.

The weather! I love the fact that we are pretty laid back. We are quickly approaching the million mark yet ABQ still has a small town feel to it. I love heading to the mountains for the day and playing golf year round. New Mexican food is unique and definitely a draw. And I really love seeing our city grow and prosper especially these past 5 years. There are so many great new eateries and retail. The museums and the National Hispanic cultural center. And lastly I love the people that make up our great city!

I moved to the Albuquerque area four years ago, and these are the things that appeal to me:
* 4 distinct seasons, all reasonably short
* Friendly people
* Wonderful sunsets, landscapes, vistas
* Growers markets, especially those in Ranchos de Abq. and Corrales
* Nat'l Hispanic Cultural Center
* Manageable traffic, even at rush hour
* Lobo fans -- they're genuine fanatics
* Santa Ana Star Arena
* Corrales with its galleries, farms and pizza (Village Pizza)
* Isotopes baseball games, including good eats and seats
* Browsing the UNM book store
* Bookworks in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, especially its speakers

The weather, the food, UNM, and the Balloon Fiesta.
