I was wondering, do you think Albuquerque will ever get a big-league professional sports team?
I bet that most Albuquerqueans don't know that the City of Albuquerque is larger than Green Bay, the smallest city in America with a big-league pro sports team (in its case, the Green Bay Packers in the NFL). Albuquerque now has over 500,000 people, while Green Bay has only a little over 100,000 people. In terms of metropolitan area, the Albuquerque MSA has a little under 850,000 people, while the Green Bay MSA has a little over 300,000 people.
I think if Albuquerque does ever get a big-leage pro sports team, I would expect it would probably be a Major League Baseball team. After all, the Isotopes are the most successful professional sports team (minor league baseball) in the Albuquerque area.
Yeah, I am going to close this thread, and the discussion can continue on the thread that Chap linked to.
