It is so smooth, I don't normally drink cocktails but am very impressed with this. I live in Austin where it is made but was not familiar with it, a friend visiting from Denver turned me on to it and I have been sipping it every since.
It is distilled 9 times and results in a very smooth silky beverage.
Around $25/half gallon at Costco. I just found the website: Titos Handmade Vodka (http://titosvodka.com/titos.html - broken link)
Quote:
Tito's Handmade Vodka won the prestigious Double Gold Medal having prevailed over 70 of the world's best premium vodkas, as the judges' unanimous Gold Medal choice, at The World Spirits Competition in San Francisco California.
Website says it is distilled 5 times. I thought the bottle said 9 times, but I put it in recycling yesterday, plan to go by a new bottle tomorrow. Good stuff. It is especially nice how thick it pours into a glass when you keep the bottle in the freezer. Like honey... so smooth and pure.
Hands down my favorite vodka. There's no better vodka for the price. It's about the only vodka I care to drink any way including straight. A couple of retro cocktail lounges here in Brooklyn use no other vodka for their drinks.
I'm at work and just went to the website. I didn't realize the PC speakers are on (loudly) so the resultant blast of a Tex fiddle was a conversation starter to say the least.
I love vodka, will look for this next time I'm Stateside.
