I've traditionally been a bourbon man, but have been experimenting with ryes lately and really enjoy them. So far I have only tried Bulleit and Templeton rye and love them both.

My preferred drinks are Manhattans and Old Fashioneds.

Any good ryes I should be on the lookout for?

I got a bottle of Knob Creek Rye for Christsmas. It was a mistake as the person thought it was regular bourbon whisky. It's nice. Lots of full body flavor.

I remember when my paternal grandfather passed away in the early 80's my Dad and I found a few bottles of unopened Old Overholt from what we think is the 1940's based on the tax stamps. Dad still has them on display in his liquor cabinet and I'll get them when the time comes.

Rye lover/very regular Manhattan and Old Fashioned drinker here too.

Darby's out of SC is one that I found a few years ago, and even though I'm always trying new stuff, I keep going back to that one as a favorite. It's an incredible value (like $22) as an added bonus.

Very nice! I will have to keep an eye out for Darby's.

For price point and easy accessibility, I think Bulleit and Eagle Rare are just fine.

Rittenhouse Straight Rye

Pennsylvania style - the majority of it goes into Manhattans.

I recently tried Canadian Hunter Rye, and for a cheap whiskey (10.00) it is surprisingly good on ice.

Default Pilkesvile

For anyone interested. Pikesville has just been voted the world's best whiskey of 2016.

Templeton is my current favorite but I'm also a big fan of Woodinville Rye, distilled in Woodinville, WA. I do like to try any new (to me) discoveries.

I look forward to trying this one. I've had all the others mentioned in this thread. Bulleit is good for the price but Knob Creek is a bit better overall I think
