I love dark liquors and only get headaches from low quality brands - dark or light doesn't seem to matter. Bourbon, whiskey, dark rum, anejo or reposado tequila, dark beer. Sometimes I am in the mood for vodka or gin, but usually I prefer dark liquors.

I generally prefer the anejo and reposado types as they have a more developed and nuanced flavor. But I do prefer margaritas to be made with a high quality silver tequila since the flavors of aged tequilas can overwhelm the delicate lime flavor and ruin the balance of flavors.
