Bud Light Platinum, a long-germinating beer concept from Anheuser-Busch InBev that’s not quite Bud Light and not really Budweiser, will finally hit stores in January.
Not everyone wants to feel like they are drinking down a four course meal every time they have a beer. During the hot summer months after working in 100 degree heat for hours on end a Bud, Bud light and Coors light is very refreshing. Now during the fall/winter give me my black and tans.
If I drink two 6% beers I'm not even sure if I should be driving, how is that water?
If you mean from a flavor standpoint everyone has different tastes and I certainly respect anyone else's choice for beer, but I'm with bulldog sometimes something lighter works better.
So many other lagers (and other beers) out there to quench your thirst and aren't made from corn and rice. 6% is not a high ABV %. Don't be brainwashed by marketing. Still... drink what you like but don't scoff at other flavorful alternatives out there because they're not made by bud miller or coors.

I thought this thread was about 'Budweiser' offering a lighter alternative.
I think many, including those that responded to this thread, are well aware of 'other' lagers/beers.
By now we should all be familiar with the German, Irish, Australian, United Kingdoms, Canadian, S. African, and even the Carribean Island beers that are available.
I just don't understand why people are excited by Budweiser is all I am getting at.
