I'm having a highball in honor of the Cubs win today. My uncle started this tradition many years ago. He had one whether they won, lost, or didn't even play. He always made them with Canadian Club, ginger ale and a maraschino cherry. Of course they were served in the shortest glass he could find. I wonder what he have done if he were here for their World series win last year. He was in the stands when they won two in a row in the 1900's.
Broke the hiatus, had one of my old faves to ring in the cooler air and Fall approaching, Makers Mark Manhattan with prime rib dinner.
