Hop Bushel by a local brewery called Hop Garden...haven't had one of their beers in over a year...they were new and the beer just okay...but i am glad to see that they have grown up so to speak and gotten much better.
Albertson's nor Fred Meyer had ginger beer, but I finally found it at the likker store. They only had **** 'n Bull, and it's in the fridge chilling for tonight's game. I plum forgot to pick up a lime so maybe I'll add a few drops of RealLime.
Your Dark and Stormy will be very different with each brand of ginger beer. Around NC they tend to use Reed's a lot, or Blenheim's for those who like it "hot". Gosling's ( the Black Seal Rum folks) often have a bundle pack that includes their version of ginger beer, and that recipe is based on the Barritts one but its still a bit different.
Fred Meyer used to carry the Barritts....did you look in the soft drink area or with the wine/beer mixers?
BTW the word that got censored is a rooster that's 4 letters and starts with c.
You know I completely forgot about the wine section at FM. I just checked around the ginger ale/soft drink area. If I like this, I'll check for another brand there. Thanks busydesk.
If you have a Total Wine store nearby, they usually carry it as well. Its in an odd place though, near the party snacks and soft drinks as opposed to the "mixers".
I think I just saw it at Lowe's Foods, too, if you have one of those.
