"So much" alcohol? What do you mean by "so much?" If you mean "this guy drinks 2 6-packs per day by himself" then I'd say he's drinking "so much" because he's probably an alcoholic.

If you mean "this woman only drinks at weddings, which she attends once or twice per year. But when she goes, she consumes up to 6 drinks during the reception" then it's probably because she doesn't understand the concept of self-restraint. Or, she understands it, and doesn't respect it.

If you mean "this guy has a glass of wine with dinner every night" then I'd say - that isn't enough to constitute "so much" because it's not much at all.

Because if God didn't want us to drink, Jesus would have turned water into apple juice.

It was part of who I was due to my upbringing. I no longer drink alcohol because I've seen the effects of drinking too much has had on many family members.

My wife grew up in a completely different environment where her parents drank only occasionally so she has never been much of a drinker. So I truly think it can be environmental. Some may refute my statements however this is true for me.

Maybe...binge drinking is very bad for the body, too. That's why I don't drink at all.
The body doesn't need alcohol.
