the most popular French champaigne we can get in US liquor stores is probably Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and Dom Perignon -- but they are crazy expensive, at $45+ per bottle... but we do have a huge variety of "champaigne" in $10-$35 range that is both imported and produced locally in US that is more popular...

I don't typically see true champagne unless I go to a specialty store. In common grocery stores I typically just see sparkling wines, usually from Napa.

I've seen all of these, and all of the main houses in upscale supermarkets. I've only really seen grower champagne at specialty stores however. I've actually seen various champagne cheaper in the US then here in Paris depending on the stores.
